DESCRIPTION:
Prayer is by far the most strategic need for the ministry among the speakers of the European minority languages. Only God can change the hearts of people and bring them to Himself. Consequently, Linguæ Christi has a number of projects related to praying for and coming to know the European indigenous minority languages people groups in a more meaningful way. Some of these prayer-based projects are on the ground and others are designed to enable Christians from around the world to know more about these peoples and to prayer for them regularly and intently.
The Wales Leadership Team will receive special training in order to train/lead four other short-term projects from Churches in the USA, and they will be located in the Caernarfonshire area of North Wales. Due to the strategic role of and Linguæ Christi’s emphasis on prayer and related activities, these short-term projects will have a special emphasis on prayerwalking, narrative mapping, and missional connections. The Ministry Leadership Team will receive intensive and specialised training in areas of prayerwalking/narrative mapping, Linguæ Christi overall strategy, Welsh language/history/culture, logistics (including all public transport options), and missional approaches. This Team will then use their training to prepare and lead the various short-term teams (mentioned above). This assignment requires students with maturity (not necessarily determined by years), leadership skills, an outgoing personality (“people” persons), and a background in logistics/accounting/ planning would also be very helpful. The role is a mix of both leading and serving the short-term teams, who are coming to Wales. An example would be a mix of a Campground Counsellor (leading people and taking care of them) on one hand and a waiter/waitress working for tips (serving with a smile) on the other.
